When you visit Universal Avenue you will provide us with two types of information:
When you register with Universal Avenue, you will provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, your email address, your gender, your date of birth, your contact details, your address and your professional history.
Universal Avenue may also automatically collect certain information when the Service is used, including:
(i) your interactions with the Service
(ii) user content you contribute to the Service;
(iii) technical data, which may include your IP address, network language, operating system,
(iv) location information.
Whether we collect some or all of the information often depends on what type of device you’re using and its settings. For example, different types of information are available depending on whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, or an iPhone or an Android phone. We may, with your consent, use information about you that we collect from other sources, such as LinkedIn or Facebook, to automatically supplement your profile. Before we can access such information it will be required that you first provide your credentials and login to such Service.
We may use the information we collect, including your personal information, to:
(i) improve your experience with Universal Avenue, for example by providing customized or
(ii) ensure the correct functioning and running of the Services;
(iii) develop new products and services;
(iv) analyze your use of the Service, including your interaction with the Service, and any third party services made available, linked to or offered through the Service;
(v) evaluate your potential and results as a Brand Ambassador,
(vi) communicate with you for Service-related purposes, including promotional emails or messages or messages regarding updates to any terms and conditions, or the Service;
(vii) to protect the rights and security of Universal Avenue, its users or any other person; and
Please note that we will occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services or features offered by Universal Avenue that we think you may find valuable. Generally, you may opt out of such emails through your privacy settings, though Universal Avenue reserves the right to send you notice about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.
Our privacy settings allow you to make informed choices about who has access to your personal information, and you may add, modify or delete any of your profile information at any time by logging into your account and use the My Profile page. You may also deactivate your Universal Avenue account through the My Profile page. Removed information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to members of Universal Avenue.
Please note that if you opt-out of sharing certain of your information the Service might be adversely affected or we may not be able to provide the Service at all.
Universal Avenue processes information about our users on servers located in a number of countries and we may subcontract processing to, or share your information with, third parties located in countries, other than your home country, for example outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), where you may have fewer legal rights in relation to your information. However, we take the security of personal information very seriously and we will not take any decisions lightly to transfer any information to countries outside of the EEA unless necessary.
Please note that use of Universal Avenue is limited to individuals who are eighteen or older. Universal Avenue does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to register for Universal Avenue. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child is using our service, please contact us regarding removal of the account in question.
You can access and amend some of the information we keep on you through our privacy settings. To learn more about the information we store about you, e-mail email@example.com. We will respond within a reasonable period of time upon verification of your identity.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer, mobile phone, or other device when you visit a website. The cookie will help us to recognize your device the next time you visit our platform.
